Diocese

‘Diocese’ refers to the geographical territory in which a bishop exercises oversight. The Church in Wales is divided into six dioceses each with its own cathedral in which is housed the cathedra (the bishop’s ‘chair’ or ‘throne’).

Audit Committee

The following volunteer vacancies are currently available within our Diocesan committees. All expenses of office will be reimbursed. Our Diocesan Committees play an important role in strengthening the work throughout the Diocese and supporting our Ministry Areas. Ministry Areas are asked to communicate these vacancies through their AVMs and to encourage expressions of interest.

Purpose: To ensure a framework for accountability and to review systems and control methods in accordance with regulatory requirements and good practice.

Commitment: 4 meetings per annum

Experience / Knowledge: An understanding of statutory regulations and good management practices.
