Pentecost collection boxes - a letter from Faith in Families
On behalf of the Board for Social Responsibility (Faith in Families), we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the ministry areas who continue to support our work with children and families living in disadvantaged areas across the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon.
Your generosity through our collection box scheme plays a vital role in the success and sustainability of our projects. Quite simply, we could not do this important work without the dedication of our parish supporters — thank you.
It has been a joy to welcome visitors such as Bishop John Lomas and other diocesan representatives to recent events, including our annual fundraising ball. These occasions are not only a celebration of what we’ve achieved together, but also an opportunity to strengthen our shared commitment to improving lives across the diocese.
We know the cost of living crisis continues to impact the families we support — with demand for our services rising at a time when competition for funding has never been more intense. In response, we remain grounded in our values of Care, Aspiration, Respect, and Empathy, ensuring that every decision we make reflects the needs of our children, families, staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners.
We kindly ask that you continue to support us during these challenging times and would appreciate if you could share this message with treasurers or collection box holders within your ministry area.
