Diocese

‘Diocese’ refers to the geographical territory in which a bishop exercises oversight. The Church in Wales is divided into six dioceses each with its own cathedral in which is housed the cathedra (the bishop’s ‘chair’ or ‘throne’).

Ministry Areas were the theme of this year's diocesan conference at Brecon Cathedral.

Ven Peter Brooks, Archdeacon with Responsibility for Ministry Areas, gave an update on the progress so far and Bishop John led a workshop asking Ministry Areas to list their priorities for the diocese.
