Christian Aid supports the DEC Afghanistan Appeal

Christian Aid has joined with other aid charities in Wales to launch a fundraising appeal as the awful situation in Afghanistan becomes worse. More than eight million people are facing famine conditions over the next few months. Children are already dying and another million are in danger over this winter.

The Disasters and Emergency Appeal has been launched in order to finance the aid agencies which are currently working in the country, Christian Aid among them.

Head of Christian Aid in Wales, Mari McNeill, said: ‘The situation in Afghanistan is terrible. With a million children at risk of dying this winter, we must act with urgency.

"Christian Aid and other charities are already working in the country, but a massive injection of finance is required so that lives can be saved this winter. Please give what you can to our appeal."
