Diocese

‘Diocese’ refers to the geographical territory in which a bishop exercises oversight. The Church in Wales is divided into six dioceses each with its own cathedral in which is housed the cathedra (the bishop’s ‘chair’ or ‘throne’).

Your photos of the diocese

As part of the centenary festival later in the year at the Royal Welsh Showground, we'll be putting together a gallery of photos from across the diocese, which will also be featured in a special edition of Cymuned and on the diocesan website.

If you have photographs of the diocese - either past or present - we'd love to feature them in the gallery. Whether they're of past events, services, or of your local church or community, please send them to eryljones@churchinwales.org.uk
