Eucharist

‘Eucharist’ comes from the Greek word for ‘thanksgiving’. At the Eucharist the Church remembers Jesus’ last supper where he gave bread and wine to be his body and blood, a sign of his saving love. See also Holy Communion.

To all members of the 2025 Swansea & Brecon Diocesan Conference


Our Diocesan Conference is to be held on Saturday 18th October 2025 at Christ College, Brecon


“For us, and for our Salvation”

This year’s Conference will be a full day event and will include a keynote address during the morning session and Conference business presentations will take place during the afternoon. The Conference will close with a Eucharist in Christ College Chapel.

Motions and Questions

You are invited to submit a motion or question to the conference.

Information on the process for this is available above for downloading.

Please send submissions to conference.swanbrec@cinw.org.uk, clearly marking them as “Conference Motion” or “Conference Question” in the subject heading.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday 4th September.

All submissions will be reviewed at the Diocesan Standing Committee of 24th September for timetabling and response (as necessary).


2025 Elections

We are due to hold several clerical and lay elections at this year and would like to encourage all Conference members to share information about these opportunities locally. Having a voice in the provincial arena helps to have our MA and Diocesan perspective recognised.

Please return your nominations to: conference.swanbrec@cinw.org.uk clearly marking the email as “Nomination 2025” in the subject heading.

The deadline for nominations is Thursday 4th September.

Elections will take place electronically during September/October; you will receive details for these following the close of nominations.

All election results will be announced at the Conference.
