Housing Justice Cymru has launched its Lent Appeal to alleviate homelessness this Easter.The cost-of-living crisis is compounding the problems caused by job losses and relationship breakdowns during the pandemic, and forcing increasing numbers of people into homelessness.Housing Justice’s history of helping people stretches back to 1956 and, In 2018, it received the Christian Funders Gold Award. In the past few years it has helped more than 1,000 churches respond to homelessness in their area, delivered over 100 genuinely affordable homes and provided a wide range of support to thousands of individuals, including overnight shelter, longer-term accommodation, accessing food support, preventative support, advice and advocacy.The Lent Appeal page includes a Lenten address from Bishop John Davies, Chair of the Housing Justice Cymru Steering Group,, as well as Lent prayers, information about the appeal, and donation links.
