Text block 1

The Diocese of Swansea and Brecon is celebrating its centenary year, and there are many ways to get involved. From pilgrimages and services, to a festival at the Royal Welsh Showground in September, there will be a host of events. We’re also planting 100 trees in our twin diocese of Asante Mampong in Ghana. As part of the celebrations, we’re asking people to send in their photographs and memories for an exhibition and a special edition of Cymuned later in the year. We’d also like your video stories - a short video recorded on your phone, with your memories. In this section there is a list of 100 activities to take part in to mark the occasion, with everything from community fun days to volunteering at a local charity.Mandy Bayton, Bishop’s Officer for Evangelism and member of the centenary working group, said: “As a diocese we believe we have much to thank God for and we want to celebrate our centenary by celebrating God’s goodness and faithfulness throughout the previous century. We would like to celebrate with a year of celebration, with different celebratory events and activities taking place across our beautiful diocese and beyond.”
