Father Neil Hook has welcomed people to St Mary’s Church, Builth’s inaugural Christmas Tree Festival.
The event, which was launched by the High Sheriff of Powys David Price, has been the result of a lot of hard work from a small and dedicated team of organisers.
The event is taking place until December 21, and is not a fundraiser but a time for the church to shine in the community.
There are trees by many associations, public organisations and schools and it’s open weekdays from 3.30pm to 5pm with free entry.
St Mary’s is also hosting the annual Rotary community carol service at 7pm on Monday, December 17 at which the Christmas raffle will be drawn.
