The Bible study group at Brecon Cathedral, which meets every week, is proving popular.
Canon Residentiary Dr Mark Clavier, who leads the classes, said: “We started the classes in mid-November. In the first week we had 18 people come along, which is more than I was expecting, and all the way up to Christmas we were adding one or two more each week. The best we’ve had is about 25 and it’s continued to grow strongly.
“It’s what I’ve done in every church I’ve been in, going all the way back to Maryland. They are much more common in the States, and when I started them here in Durham and Oxford dioceses, and now here in Brecon, people have a real thirst to engage in a thinking way with their faith.”

The group meets every Wednesday at the Heritage Centre at the cathedral at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome.
