It was the inauguration of the Tawe Isaf Ministry Area yesterday, at St David’s Church in Morriston.
The service was led by Archbishop John, who praised the “reservoir of gifted people” who are already making good things happen in the ministry area.
Quoting Psalm 29, “The voice of the Lord is a glorious voice”, Archbishop John said: “We are working together with Christ. Now is time to face the challenge, not of maintaining an institution but working together with Christ.
“Open your hearts, widen your affection. God wants you to know the kingdom. Sharing in ministry – we must become shepherds of the product we offer – being the Lord Jesus to everyone. Getting to know each other will better equip us to move forward. That is the challenge that God puts before us.”
The Archbishop was also presented with a card by the Sunday school, to congratulate him on his appointment.
