Group service sees St Peter’s new windows unveiled after snow delay

St Peter’s Church in Glasbury has two new stained-glass windows, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor.

The windows were unveiled a little later than originally planned after heavy snow forced the cancellation of the church’s annual Christmas carol service in the middle of December.

They were finally dedicated on Sunday, during a group service, by vicar of St Peter’s Rev David Thomas, and represent ‘joy’ and ‘peace’.

The choir – the St Peter’s Singers – sang an anthem and the bell ringers, as well as ringing before the service, used some bell plates to perform a range of Christmas carols.
