Congregations come together in Builth Wells for united service

A congregation of more than 40 people braved the weather for yesterday’s Churches Together service in Builth Wells.

The service – which included Church in Wales, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Church members – was led by Rev Carolyn Hall, Rev Brian Reardon and myself Mrs Janet Day (LLM-reader).

It takes place every January at the Alpha Chapel and every June in St Mary’s, Builth Wells.

The readings and intercession were shared between the various denominations. Rev Carolyn Hall preached on the Gospel which was read by Mrs Janet Day.

Next Saturday is Holocaust Memorial Day, and an ecumenical service will be held in St Mary’s at 7pm to mark this event.
