Gower’s Stable Trail relives the story of that first Christmas

For the third time in six years the Gower Ministry Area, in strong partnership with our Methodist brothers and sisters and other denominations, have put on the Stable Trail in the village of Reynoldston using the church, community hall and various homes as well as the Methodist church.

Crafts and refreshments were available in the hall before the parties of travellers were led by their guides around the different stages of the journey – the angel factory, the family of John the baptistĀ – the shepherds, wise men and finally the stable, all telling the story of what they had seen and witnessed to over 500 adults and children from across Gower, Swansea and further afield.

It was hard work but worth it with over 60 volunteers helping out in one capacity or another to make this one-day event an exciting glimpse into the past and to relive the nativity story in a refreshing way that makes the story of Jesus and that first Christmas alive and relevant for a new generation.
