The Messy Church serving Glasbury, Clyro and Llowes and surrounding areas met in Clyro Hall on Saturday.
The theme was remembrance and, as one of the activities, the first line of the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ was created in poppies by the children and adults including one little girl under two who, having watched another child put a poppy in place, followed suit.
The majority of the poppies had already been stuck in place. The Messy Church people stuck the remaining poppies in place and put the black centres on with a marker pen.
The finished piece of work was then displayed in St Peter’s Church Glasbury for the Remembrance Service on Sunday, November 12.
