Can you help FareShare Cymru fight hunger?

FareShare Cymru is in urgent need of volunteer drivers to deliver food to community centres, refuges, hostels and charities in South Wales. Delivery drivers need to be aged over 25 and have a clean driving licence.

The charity also needs volunteer operations and administration assistants to help staff with a range of administration tasks, including recording the details of donated food and producing delivery notes. You’ll gain valuable work experience doing a varied range of tasks while making a real difference to your community.

FareShare Cymru saves good food destined for waste and redistributes it to community groups and charities who transform it into nutritious meals for vulnerable people. The surplus food is donated from local supermarkets and food producers.

It’s not just about providing nutritious meals – helping charities reduce their costs has knock-on benefits: FareShare Cymru estimates its member charities save between £380,000 and £500,000 off their food budgets every year, allowing them to provide more vital support services for the community.
