Diocese

‘Diocese’ refers to the geographical territory in which a bishop exercises oversight. The Church in Wales is divided into six dioceses each with its own cathedral in which is housed the cathedra (the bishop’s ‘chair’ or ‘throne’).

VICAR IN THE ST. CATWG MINISTRY AREA

The Diocese of Swansea and Brecon wishes to make an appointment of Vicar within the St. Catwg Ministry Area, living in the parish of the Vale of Grwney but exercising a ministry across the whole Ministry Area. The parishes are very varied in their makeup and centre on the small town of Crickhowell.

We are looking for someone who:

  • enjoys rural life and small communities
  • is committed to working collaboratively
  • relishes the gifts of lay ministry

We can offer:

  • a warm and inclusive welcome
  • colleagueship within an established Ministry Area
  • spectacular countryside in which to live, work and worship
