‘Diocese’ refers to the geographical territory in which a bishop exercises oversight. The Church in Wales is divided into six dioceses each with its own cathedral in which is housed the cathedra (the bishop’s ‘chair’ or ‘throne’).

Vicar in the West Radnor Ministry Area

The Diocese of Swansea and Brecon wishes to make an appointment of Vicar within the West Radnor Ministry Area, based in the town of Rhayader but exercising a ministry across the whole Ministry Area.

The Ministry Area is very varied in makeup and centres on the town of Llandrindod Wells.

We are looking for someone who:

  • enjoys rural life and small communities
  • is committed to working collaboratively
  • relishes the gifts of lay ministry We can offer:
  • a warm and inclusive welcome
  • colleagueship within an established Ministry Area
  • spectacular countryside in which to live, work and worship
