Christmas comes to Pennard on Gower on December 6, at 6.30pm, on the Feast of Saint Nicholas.
Traditionally this has always been the night when the community joins together at the Southgate stores by the National Trust car park on the cliffs at Southgate near Pennard to sing Carols led by the Citadel of Swansea Salvation Army Band.
In cold, in rain but as yet no snow we gather to sing the well known carols and join together not as a church but as a community to usher in the season as Advent unfolds before us.
It is also a time for people to once more refresh themselves with the story of that first Christmas and make it relevant in their lives today.
Why not come and join us?
Reverend Canon Peter Brooks, Vicar of Saint Mary’s Pennard, Gower, Swansea.
