Blessing of a co-responder vehicle in Llanwrtyd

The unveiling of a brand new co-responder vehicle was blessed and unveiled in Llanwrtyd.

The unveiling was held in the school it was a lovely joyful event. Rev Petra Beresford-Webb, ministry area leader, blessed the vehicle and Mayor Peter said a few words of congratulations, along with the Hon Shân Legge-Bourke.

A huge amount of money was raised by eight communities from August 2015 – May 2016 along with grants. These eight communities will benefit from the first responder vehicle.

The vehicle would have cost £40,000 new so congratulations to everyone.

What a great way to celebrate with a fun morning…

It was very well attended by the communities, the children were able to go up in the skylift and sit in the new co-responder and fire engine.

Even Petra was allowed to go up in the skylift, but she didn’t go up alone, the new lay reader in training – Carol Jones – and Virgina Evans, the church warden, accompanied her.

A great morning to celebrate what communities can do when they work together.   Congratulations and well done.
