Primary school appeal benefits from diocese donation

An appeal to rebuild a primary school in Swansea and Brecon’s twin diocese is one of the beneficiaries of a diocesan donation this year.

The Bishop’s Lent appeal gave money to Shelter Cymru, Holy Land Trust, Brecon Street Pastors and Faith in Families.

In addition, the diocese has sent donations to CMS (£5,000), USPG (£5,000), Missions to Seafarers (£1,000), Tearfund (£500), Leprosy Mission (£500), Christian Aid (£1,100), Mothers’ Union (£1,000), Embrace the Middle East (£2,000) and Diocese of Jerusalem (£500).

The diocese has also contributed £2,000 to help support the Province’s commitment to the Gaza Dental Project and has given £1,000 to the Diocese of Asante Mampong in response to Bishop Cyril’s appeal for help to rebuild Kwamag Primary School, which was destroyed by a storm.  The Province has also contributed £2,000 to this appeal.
