Efforts underway to help twin diocese school

A primary school in Swansea and Brecon’s twin diocese of Asante Mampong has been badly damaged by a storm, and efforts are underway to help.

The roof of Kwamang school was ripped off and the mud brick walls damaged, meaning the 1,000 students are now being taught outside.

Bishop Cyril hopes to rebuild the school, which is estimated to cost around £6,500, and is appealing for help.

Rev Roger James, the Bishop’s Officer for World Mission, said the partnership development group is now discussing ways the diocese can assist.
