The 72nd bishop of Llandaff – and the second woman bishop in Wales – has been consecrated at a service in Brecon Cathedral.
The bishops of the Church in Wales have met in “Sacred Synod” to confirm the appointment of the new Bishop of Llandaff.
Dr Mark Clavier is to be the new residentiary canon at Brecon Cathedral, it was announced this morning.
Brecon Cathedral was full this afternoon for the annual ordinations service.
This year’s ordinations service will take place at Brecon Cathedral this Saturday.

The appointment of the Very Revd June Osborne as Bishop of Llandaff will be legally confirmed at a Sacred Synod meeting on July 14.
June Osborne, the former Dean of Salisbury, will be consecrated at Brecon Cathedral on July 15
